Job Description

As a Physiotherapist at Elegant Care Home Inc., you will assess, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs for seniors with a range of physical conditions. Your role will be central in helping residents maintain or improve mobility, reduce pain, and regain independence. You’ll work closely with care teams, families, and physicians to ensure each resident receives thoughtful, effective physical therapy interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to determine residents’ physical function, mobility needs, and rehabilitation goals
  
  
• Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy plans to enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall well-being
  
  
• Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
  
  
• Educate residents and care staff on proper techniques for exercises, transfers, and injury prevention
  
  
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to support holistic resident care
  
  
• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
  
  
• Provide support for post-operative recovery, chronic conditions, and injury prevention
  
  
• Promote safe movement and physical independence wherever possible
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (or other relevant provincial regulatory body)
  
  
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution
  
  
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with seniors, long-term care, or rehabilitation (preferred)
  
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  
  
• Empathetic, patient-centered approach to care
  
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  
  
• Skilled in documentation, care planning, and outcome evaluation
  
  

Training and Certification Requirements

• Current physiotherapy license in the province of employment
  
  
• First Aid & CPR certification
  
  
• Criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening
  
  
• Continuing education in geriatrics or senior care (asset but not required)
